Apple TV: Take 2?
Friday, February 22, 2008 at 2:42AM During his keynote, Steve Jobs mentioned Apple TV: Take 2. He mentioned that Microsoft and several other companies including Apple itself had failed to bring downloaded movies, and movie rentals to the Television. Well that's not entirely true.
Apple TV Take 2 does something that Microsoft has been doing for awhile now, and that is movie rentals. Microsoft offers tons of movies on its Video Marketplace on the Xbox360. They also have TV shows for to buy. So Apple is actually a little behind in this category.
However the Apple TV 2 experience is probably going to be a better experience. I personally like the experience of the Xbox Marketplace, but the noise the 360 makes is annoying, so I would probably choose the Apple TV 2 over Microsoft's way of doing things.
