Happy Mother’s Day

Today we sit back and give our mothers the appreciation they deserve. Now that’s not to say that we don’t all year round, but today we show it even more than usual. At least that’s the way I look at it. Today tell your mom how much you love her, and let her know that you are thankful for everything she does. For me my mom is my grandmother, I am thankful for what she has done for me, even though she can be a bit lost at times I do love her.

Happy Mother’s day to all the moms out there, and I hope that all you sons and daughters show your appreciation for the work a mother does. Not just today but everyday of the year.

Back to Ping.fm

Last year I made the statement that I had left Ping.fm because I had found everything I need in TweetDeck. Well I’m back using Ping.fm, and my main reasoning behind this move is convenience. I am a member of many social sites, not just Facebook, and Twitter, but Myspace, LinkedIn, Geeks, etc. Also many blog sites which I use Ping.fm to send my status as micro blogs to these sites. TweetDeck is limited in this, as of the current version it only supports Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. That just is no help to me anymore, of course I do still you TweetDeck to monitor my tweets.

Ping.fm is a great service, and has been since it started up, on the iPod Touch I use Pingle, which really helps me out when I’m in a Wi-Fi area. Also the ability on the site to group many of the sites together (#Status, or #All) Makes it even easier for me to send what I want, to exactly where I want.

Bump for iPhone and Android

chris.pirillo.com

I am sure that you all know by now what bump is, at least that’s what I am assuming. If it’s one thing I have learned in life it’s best not to assume. So, bump is an application for the iPhone and Android, yes it’s cross platform. I have never used bump as I do not own an iPhone. I do know that it works, and does what it’s supposed to do. Software apps like these tend to make life easier, and when I get an iPhone I will be using this app.

School & Computers

With so much in the world going on at the moment, I thought I’d take time to share what’s been happening around me. Well I recently started school last week, I am taking Network Systems Support (NSS). So far it’s just the basics, which is pretty easy mind you. In fact most of the questions I really don’t need my book for, but there are times when I do read the book. Most of this stuff I already knew, I pretty much taught myself most of my knowledge. I say pretty much because I had a neighbor in Florida that taught me about the hardware basics, and most of the DOS and Windows Operating System.

So with school going on I’m pretty much occupied. There is so much I would love to talk about, and would love to share. However budget alone is what keeps me from doing so, I am also afraid of becoming a tech reviewer only. I really want to be able to help people in the computer area. If someone has a problem then I want to be able to help. Why shell out money you don’t have to fix a possible minor problem. Because I can tell you this, most electronic repair places will rip you off. Especially if you have little knowledge of computers.

Feedback

Based on the feedback that I have gotten from people on the Kindle for PC application, and from what I'm seeing there are many ways in which it does come in handy. There are ways in which the app is being implemented that I really didn't think about when I made the video, or spoke about it. I like it all, and hope to see a lot of it catch on in time.

Now see this is what I like about feedback. I get to hear how you and others use technology, or at least what I post about. I'm serious when I say that I would like recommendations on topics and iPhone, iPod touch apps. Unfortunately I don't own an iPad, but that will come in time. I have gotten one comment on YouTube that asked me why I don't just buy a camera stand. Well the answer to that is quite simple, I'm a cheap ass. Actually no the real reason is because every time I am about to buy something I want I get into a conflict with myself over spending the money. Plus I'd rather focus on getting a flip camcorder, so I can switch to HD video. With that I bid you all adieu.

Oh before I forget, I'm posting this from my iPod touch using the Squarespace app. Making this my first mobile post.
